Emma recently joined the WCH team after moving from Victoria, where she was a partner at Windy Hill Sports & Spinal Clinic in Essendon.
Emma's dedication to her profession is evident in her academic achievements and her continuous pursuit of knowledge. Emma graduated with a human movement and sport science degree from Ballarat University College. She discovered her calling in physiotherapy and completed her Physiotherapy degree at Latrobe University in Melbourne.
Her journey as a student was enriched further by embracing motherhood and raising three daughters, including twins. This pivotal role inspired her to pursue further education, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. Over the subsequent 14 years, she carved a niche for herself in this domain, with a passion for helping women and men navigate the sensitive area of pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence, pelvic pain, pre and postnatal care, sexual dysfunction and combining this expertise with her exercise background to support and nurture the female athlete at all levels to attain their goals at each stage of their lives.
Emma led the sports medicine program at VNL club Melbourne University Lightning and, with her move West, has connected with WANL club Western Roar and West Coast Thunder. Emma has just commenced her Masters in Clinical Sports Medicine program at Melbourne University to immerse herself in academic pursuits, expand her knowledge base, and prepare for the next chapter in her career. These roles have allowed Emma to leverage her expertise in pelvic health, sports injuries, management, and strength and conditioning to support and nurture all athletes from the community to the elite level.
