Shun Ikeda
Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Shun is a Japan- and Australian-trained physiotherapist with over three years of clinical experience as an accredited physiotherapist in a tertiary hospital in Japan, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Since relocating to Australia, Shun has worked extensively in high-performance and sporting environments, supporting teams including the West Coast Eagles (WAFL), Subiaco FC Colts, Perth FC Colts, as well as state-level basketball and rugby teams. He is currently completing a Master of Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University.
Shun has a strong clinical interest in soft-tissue injuries and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, with particular focus on the ACL, shoulder, and ankle. He strongly believes that combining hands-on treatment, structured gym-based exercise, and clear, progressive rehabilitation programming is key to achieving meaningful and sustainable patient outcomes.
Outside of clinical practice, Shun enjoys weightlifting, running, cycling, and swimming, and completed the Busselton Half-Ironman in 2024. He is also actively involved in the Japanese physiotherapy community, collaborating with universities and clinicians in Japan to help bridge Australian and Japanese sports physiotherapy practice and education.
